WASHINGTON – In a bold move demonstrating its commitment to solving problems, the government announced today the creation of a new oversight committee responsible for monitoring the committees that were previously established to investigate why earlier committees failed to produce results.

Officials described the initiative as “a historic step toward accountability,” explaining that the new Committee on Committee Coordination will ensure that all existing task forces, advisory panels, working groups, and special review boards will remain focused on their original missions.

“This is about bringing structure to the process,” said Deputy Director of Strategic Planning and Oversight. “In the past, committees may have operated independently. Now, they will have a centralized committee overseeing them, along with a dedicated review team to evaluate whether that oversight is being properly overseen.”

The announcement was welcomed by committee members nationwide, many of whom expressed relief that their years of meetings, reports would finally receive the recognition they deserve.

Officials emphasized that the new committee will not rush into making recommendations. Instead, it will first conduct a comprehensive study to determine the most efficient way to begin the process of planning a strategy for moving forward.

The government expects meaningful action to begin shortly after the new committee finishes reviewing whether another committee should be created to review that study.
